Paper Playtime Challenge #56

Hi Everyone and welcome,
Today is a new challenge day over at Paper Playtime and my last week there as a DT member for the month of September. The challenge starting today is to create a Halloween themed project. I must say the project I created for this challenge is my favourite creation yet this year. It just came together perfectly! I got the idea from the Stampin' Up Christmas Mini catalogue. In there they made a wreath like this with Christmas papers. I decided to try my hand at it with some Halloween papers I have been hoarding since last year.

I started by cutting a base for the wreath out of cereal boxes using my Cricut. Just did a circle and then a smaller circle inside it in the Design Studio. This was what I used to hot gun all those rosettes on. After creating the wreath I fancied it up with some embellishments. I cut a bunch  of small circles out of my Cricut (it was acting weird that day and not actually cutting these in perfect circles but in the end I love that)! I inked those up and glued them on placing a hand dyed bauble inside each one, Don't they look like freaky eyes?! The black stiff ribbon was something from my stash and the black and white twine is from the Twinery. The Happy Halloween was also cut using the Cricut and the Mini Monsters cartridge and then I used glossy accents on the orange letters.

I wish you could see it in real life as the picture does it no justice and the dimension is awesome! I can't wait until it is time to decorate for Halloween and display this baby! Birthday Sundaes Challenge #5

Hello Crafters,
It's that time again...Birthday Sundaes challenge time! This week the challenge is anything goes! I decided I should do another card for the set I started a while back with the mini monsters cartridge. I tend to make very girly cards (have you noticed my princess obsession lol) and these monster cards are great for boys but still are cute enough that I enjoy making them. I did have to remind myself NOT to try and make the stitching perfect haha. Below is a picture and the details of my creation. My Sheri Crafts Challenge

Hello Crafting Friends,
I stumbed across a 'new to me blog' recently My Sheri Crafts and there is a challenge going on there right now. The challenge is 'All about Boys'. I have been playing with the idea of making up a few card sets to have as gifts and after playing with my Mini Monsters cartridge the other day I thought why not do a set all with monsters! I need to start thinking outside the box like this more. I actually tucked this cartridge and my Jolly Holidays one to the back of my cabinet because I said to myself  "well, those are seasonal and I will not need them anytime soon." Then I get amazed when I see people making stuff with them 'out of season' lol. So here is my card for the challenge.

Wait, it can't be over yet!

Here is another Halloween project I did (before Halloween, I just didn't get a chance to post it yet) Mary from Cardz TV made one of these adorable door hangers a little while ago and I loved it so much I had to try my hand at it. I got the Mini Monsters cartridge no long ago and this was my first project with it. The cuts on this cartridge are super cute! I highly recommend it! The project itself was really easy and one trip to the dollarstore got me the silver ribbon the garland (wrapped around the ribbon), a bag of random sized googly eyes and the blinged out spiders (actually plastic rings)!  I love my door hanging so much that even though it is Nov. 2 it is actually still hanging on one of the doorknobs! I just know I will make more of these in the future!
