This week the challenge on Birthday Sundaes is a photo inspiration challenge. Here is a peek at the photo...
And here is a look at my card I was inspired to make ...
(sorry this pic is so dark I had to take it at night)
Details:
Staples Brand white cardstock (I love this stuff..thick and super smooth)
Coloured cardstock is Recollections
Banner stamp from Michael's
Chalk inks from Michael's
Sentiment: Justwordz Everyday Sentiments stamp set
Twinery Baker's Twine
Baubles from My Stamping Studio
I have seen cards similar to this made and wanted give it a try. I inked up a Michael's stamp that I bought forever ago and never used. I stamped each colour a few times and then cut all the little flags out leaving myself enough paper on the top of each one to be able to fold it over the twine to create a banner. Overall, I love the effect but as simple as it looks...it was a lot of work!
Head over to the Birthday Sundaes blog to see how all the other DT members were inspired and then get crafty!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Tara

What a cute and festive card...love banners and twine! :)
Your banner card is so festive! I love the sentiment stamped out on the little flags as well. Small details are deceptive since they can be a lot of work but it looks amazing.
Thanks for sharing! :)
Fabulous card Tara....love the pretty colours and I really love your banner. Great idea!
So cute but I do see how it could be a lot of work. I have that stamp....maybe I will have to scraplift it.
