5 Months to Christmas Blog Hop

Hi Everyone and welcome to the 5 Months to Christmas Blog Hop,
If you have arrived here from  Sally's blog you are in the right spot.

Well, I bet a few of you who have been following my blog regularly thought I would not be participating this month because of the big move...well it just so happens I am the queen of planning ahead! I was able to get my cards created before I had to pack up my scrapbooking room!
If you are new you might be wondering how this monthly blog hop works.... there is a group of us crafters that have committed to creating two Christmas cards and (one die cut and one stamped image) posting them on the 25th each month.
Thanks for stopping by today. Shari's blog is your next stop.
Happy Crafting!
Tara
P.S. Right now I am at my parents house borrowing their wireless. I hope to have internet again soon so I can visit all my wonderful blogs friends again. See you soon!

More Cricutized wedding!

Hi Crafters,
I am so excited to share this project with you today! I think this was one of my favourite wedding decorations and I made them! Well, with the help of a very nice friend ;) I was actually really flatter that all but 5 of my table numbers disappeared throughout the night lol. I am glad everyone enjoyed them as much as I did! I am sorry I didn't write everything down but I know that I used Design Studio to help me plan these out and I was able to cut two out of a sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock. I think the base shape is from Create-a-Critter or it might be from Accent Essentials. The flowers are for sure from Accent Essentials. So they would stand up on their own I used the same idea as an easel card and it worked perfectly!
Happy Crafting!

They were really easy to make...just white cardstock folded and the flowers were cut using the Accent Essentials, then I bought some gems that I glued into the middle. Ta da done!!!

Check back soon as I have more of my cricutized wedding to share :)

Justwordz DT Day!

***This is my second post of the day. If you are popping over from Alex's blog You Had Me At Craft and looking for the rest of my thankful mini album thanks for stopping by and scroll down to the next post***

Hi Crafters,
This week for the Justwordz DT we were asked to make a 'thankful' project. This week I decided to change it up a bit and make someting besides a card. I have been hard at work making things for my up coming wedding and I decided why not use this opportunity to get something else done in advance. These tags as you can see are going to go on my wine bottles that we will be using as part of our wedding party favours. I made two because I was unsure of how I wanted to layer them but after completing them we have decided to use the one with the navy base. Fear not I'm sure the other one will still get used for something else ;)

The good news is now that I have figured out the sizing and everything I should be able to whip up a bunch more in no time. I used Design Studio and the cartridge Tags, bags, boxes and more for the 'door hanger' and Accent Essentials for the flower. (You will be seeing much more of this flower soon)! To finish it off I stamped my sentiment with Justwordz Everyday Sentiments. Don't Kim's Justwordz stamps work just perfect!!! I know you can't really tell from the picture but I heat embossed the stamp too so it is all shiny and fancy looking. It was my first heat embossed project with my brand spanking new heat gun and embossing powder. I didn't even do a practice run first lol! I am so impressed with how this turned out!!!

Details:
Cardstock: Bazzill and Staples Brand
Cricut Cuts: Tags, bags, boxes and more (if you want the exact size let me know and I will look it up for you in DS) and Accent Essentials 1.5"
Sentiment: Justwordz Everyday Sentiments Set
Ribbon: Offray
Bling: Offray

Besides having the fabulous Justwordz Everyday Sentiment set Kim is releasing two new stamp sets! A party invite set and a Christmas set and she is having a DT call right now! If you are interested in owning these stamps head over to her blog and check out all the details...
You'll want to head over there now anyways to check out the rest of the Justwordz DT creations made with the Everyday Sentiments stamp set!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and happy crafting!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge # 6

Hello Crafters,
It's Sunday and you know what that means...a new challenge over on Birthday Sundaes. This week it is a challenge for sure, it's a Special Birthday Challenge! You must a create birthday gift packaging, party favor, invitation, cupcake toppers/wrappers, banners, treat boxes, etc.

I have never made a banner before and decided to make one for a friend's little girl who was turning two this weekend. All in all the banner was super easy to make (a little time consuming but fun). Taking pictures of it was a whole other story however. It was a nightmare! I used a ton of glitter which my camera hates, the entire thing was the length of a wall and really high when we hung it and to top it all off the lighting was terrible. But I did what I could and I think I took enough to give you a good idea. I am glad I took some before we hung it! Although, like I said my camera hates glitter so I couldn't use the flash. All the details will be listed below the picture.
Thanks for stopping by!
Tara

Somebunny Special

Happy Good Friday Everyone,
Sorry I have been lost this week but I have been crafting all day today and have some great projects to show you really soon! One card I made today was using my new Prisma coloured pencils. I got a great deal on them I was told. I got a pack of 70 pencils for 16.99 + tax. The tag said they were regular $34.99 and well when I see a great deal I grab it :) I actually went back the next day and got a second set lol. After using this brand I don't think I can ever go back to regular coloured pencils again! The image on my card is a free digital image from Sliekje Digi Stamps If you have never checked out this site you are in for a treat!

Cricut Cardz Challenge

I made this card for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. I really like the idea of making Christmas cards with non-traditional Christmas colours. I love the bright colours in this card! Sorry about the picture metallic cardstock doesn't photograph well :(

Recipe:
The snowflake was cut from the Accent Essentials cartridge from metallic cardstock from Dollarama.
The ribbon is the Celebrate It  brand which I purchased at Micheals a few weeks ago.
The bright blue and pink cardstock was from my scrap pile and the white base was Recollections.
I Cuttlebugged the blue with my Divine Swirls folder.
The stamp is one of my new Pink by Design stamps from the Simply Everything Stamp Collection.
