Birthday Sundaes Challenge #35

Hello Crafters,

It's time for another Birthday Sundaes challenge! Today our challenge is to create a birthday card with a tree and a birthday sentiment on the front of your card! As soon as I read this challenge I knew just the tree I wanted to use! Here is my card inspiration for you this week...

I have been so inspired so much by the amazing cards that my fellow DT member Samantha makes using her pearl pens that I have been trying to use mine more lately. I tried a technique I have seen her use this week by framing my entire card with pearl pen dots. I really like the effect. It is clear I need more practice but I think I pulled it off okay :) Thanks for the amazing inspiration Samantha!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #29

Hi Everyone,

Justwordz DT Friday!

Hi Everyone,

This week for the Justwordz DT project we were asked to make a card with a special occasion theme. My special occasion was anniversary. For my project I made a modern anniversary card. I used some non-traditional anniversary colours and I think it has a fun, bright feel to it! I also decided on this card that I have been trying to 'keep up with the Jones' " when it comes to embellishing my cards and truly I am just a plain and simple girl. Less is more for me :) I'm heading back to my roots!

JustWordz DT Day

It's FRIDAY!!! And we know what that means...JustWordz DT day :) This week we were asked to create projects with a birthday theme. Not a problem! Just so happens birthday themed projects are my favourite :)
This week I used my Sweethearts cricut cartridge for my card. I know a weird pick for a birthday card but I'm not really sure where a bubblegum machine comes into the wedding/love theme lol. Although we are having a candy bar at my wedding :) I love how this card turned out! You can't really see it in the picture but I used glossy accents on the entire "glass" surface of the bubble gum machine. It looks really neat!

Hi Crafters,
Right now I am in Ontario on vacation. I have left some scheduled posts for you so you wouldn't miss me too much ;) I am in Ontario to attend my cousin's wedding and I made a little surprise for her to go along with her wedding gift from my family. I was dying to show you all this before I left but as she checks my blog sometimes I didn't want to ruin the surprise. I figure I am safe to show it today as today is her wedding day and I know for a fact she will not even think twice about my little ol' blog today... and I am totally okay with that lol.
