Birthday Sundaes Challenge #30

Hi Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge on the Birthday Sundaes blog. This week the challenge is to make a birthday card with fall colours. Don't forget the birthday sentiment on the front of your card!

I kept it simple this week but it works. I wanted it to look like a pile of leaves but my perfectionison kept trying to make me make it look "perfect", lol. In the end it didn;t turn out exactly like I envisioned but it works :)

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head on over to the Birthday Sundaes blog to check out the rest of the DT creations as well as our guest designer this week.

Happy Crafting!
Tara

Birthday Sundaes Sping Birthday Callenge

Hello Everyone,
This week on Birthday Sundaes the challenge was to make a 'spring birthday card'. Nothing says spring more then bright colours and butterflies! Below is my inspiration for you! I did a different size then usual this week the actual card measures 5 3/4" x 4 3/4". The lighting in the picture makes it a little hard to see but I folded it so that there was 1" sticking out on the back of the card. Then I used some sheer ribbon that was the perfect size and ruffled it along the back of the front piece. (Does this make sense?) On the back piece I placed dark purple butterflies that I used a mini punch for. In real life you can see the butterflies through the sheer ribbon and it looks really neat! I think the second picture will help this make sense :)

Paper Playtime Challenge

Hello Crafters,
I was so excited when I saw the theme for this weeks challenge on Paper Playtime. The theme is 'you rock!' I made a card a while back that had a rocker chick on the front and the saying 'u rock' and loved it! I gave it away and a couple times since had wanted that same card again to give. I decided now was the time to make a new one to have on hand. I used different colours this time and a bit of a different layout and honestly, I think I like this one even more! It might be a keeper lol. Come on I can't be the only one with a pile of cards that are so adorable that parting with them would be just wrong, can I?!
Thanks for checking out my creation and happy crafting!
Tara

Card base (A2 size): Yellow Recollections
Black mat: Recollections
All other card stock from my scrap pile

Stamps: Michaels dollar bin one set had a bunch that said things like rock band, rock on, etc. and the 'U' was from an entire set of just 'U's. (weird I know but honestly I have used them a lot)!
I also used my cuttle bug with the divine swirls folder on her guitar

Jitterbuggin' Challenge

Hello Crafters,
I was inspired this morning and did a bit of crafting. Here is a card I did based on the challenge from the Jitterbuggin' challenge  website. The challenge was to follow a sketch (this was my first time trying this), to put something you love in the middle (I choose my favourite quote and a butterfly) The last part of the challenge was to use your two favourite colours. As you can see mine are purple and teal. I tried to make the middle disstressed a bit (can you tell I have never done this before either)?! But you know overall I actually like the messy look it produced!
Happy Crafting!
