Challenge Sites

Hello Crafters,
Today I decided I wanted to do a challenge or two but then I ran into my same ol' problem...I was going to have to find a challenge site that had a current challenge taking place and one I was inspired by. I came up with this idea...I went to a bunch of the blogs that I follow and looked up some of the challenge sites they had mentioned, then I started to make a list in a word document. After getting a bunch saved I realized they were in no sort of order and again I was lost as to where to begin. That was when it hit me...why not put them in order of the day of the week the challenges are posted and 'tada' my list began. I am sure I am going to add to this over and over again which is why it is great that I have it in a word document (also I can click on the link from word and save myself time from having to surf for them). I am very pleased with my list so far and hopefully this bit of organization will help me spend more time crafting in the future and less time hunting for inspiration. Here is my list so far to help inspire you too, let me know if there is a challenge site I should add that you think I will love!
Happy crafting!

Momo's Challenge Entry

After reading the description of Momo's latest challenge I began to sweat....I have never really made a baby card and as I looked through my cartridges I realized I was going to be very limited as to what design I could create. Then there was the issue of paper. After heading to the store and purchusing some new papers. I had to I tell you ;) I came home and fought to make this card for what seemed like hours! This is my final creation:
Recipe:
Patterned paper: imaginisce
Pastel Papers: Recollections
Buttons: Frenchy's find
Ribbon: Offray
Bottle: Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge Pg 29 cut @ 9"
Punch: fiskars treading water

Card Creations and more by Christina Challenge Entry

Hello Crafters,
I was just doing a little blog surfing and found a link to a 'new to me blog' Card Creations and more by Christina and on it Christina is having a challenge. When I read that the challenge was to use the Create-a-critter cartridge I was in! Heck ya...I have been crafting with this cartridge all day!

Notebook Recipe:
Patterned paper - DCVW Holiday Stack, Christmas Collection (I got this in Jan. on Clearance for $9.99 and it is a huge stack! Ok I confess I bought the last three in store and yes 2 were the same stack but come on it was too good a deal to pass up! I find I use many of the papers in my everyday crafting too...really they are not overly full of cheer!
Soild green paper -  Recollections 8.5x11
Light green paper - scrap pile source unknown :S
Ribbon - Offray (the really cheap stuff from Walmart .50 cent a roll or sometimes 3 for a $1.00 at Michaels! This is my all time favourite ribbon. I am not a huge fan of the thick stuff. I like just the thin little extra and the price is right!
Buttons - Frenchy's (for those of you who missed my button post click here
if you want to know what Frenchy's is and why it is so great that I get my buttons there)!
Punch - threading water punch by fiskars
Binding - used my GBC bindmate and a 9/16 clear comb
Wow that was the longest recipe post ever...thanks for sticking through it! :)

My Creative Time: Thursday Throwback Challenge Entry

Hello Crafters,
I made this journal for a student I have just started tutoring to get him ready for the school year (which starts at the beginning of Sept. here) The first day he saw it he asked if when it was full if he would keep it. Silly boy of course he can...I mean really it has his name on it lol! The letters and the pencil and star were all die cuts from a package I have had for years! The pencil was solid orange and I used some scraps to fancy it up. I used my GBC binding machine so that I can just take out and add pages as needed.
As always thanks for looking and happy crafting!
Tara
PS. Sorry about the terrible quality of the picture I tried a new way of taking them and it didn't work at all! Back to plan A ;)
