Hello Crafters,
I just realized I didn't post many of the pictures from my Cuba Scrapbook that I finished over the summer. Here are a few of the pages of our awesome entertainment! I will post more soon.

Baby Card
Hello Crafters,
If you follow this blog then you know that I do not make baby cards (I find them a challenge and not in a good way lol) I have made exactly one before now and that was for Momo's challenge. I was so bad I even had to go out and purchase nice paper just to be inspired. The other day I was asked to create a special welcome card for a new baby on the way that her three older brothers could present to her. I was glad I still had some of that cute baby paper in my scrap pile. Again this was a huge challenge to me and I am not super impressed with my result but I am liking it better then the last attempt. The more I make the better I will get!
Sorry about the terrible picture I am not sure what was going on when I took it (on a slant and all lol) but I couldn't take another for you as the baby was just born (6lb 1oz just a wee one) and the card is now in use!

My computer was broke :(
Hello Crafters,
I can't believe it has been four days since I had a computer. It is crazy how much I missed it, thought about it and even went for it before I realize it was not here! But now it is back and once I get everything loaded back on it I will get back into the swing of things I hope because I feel like I have been in a blogging funk the last few weeks. I miss the blogging world and all the great inspiration!

Little Red Wagon Callenge # 46
Hello Crafters,
The other day I found a new (to me) challenge site and when I read that their theme was "stars" I got very excited as there has been this piece of scrap paper in my bin for a while now that I was dying to use but could not get inspired to. (Do you ever hoard those great scraps because you want to make just the perfect project with them but then you never seem to do anything with it)! Well, I decided I wanted to use it and here is what I came up with..... loves it!

No time to craft lately!
Hello Crafters,
It has happened again as it does every year...my life has gotten too busy for me to do much more then eat, sleep and work! I am a substitute teacher and even though school has just started here I have already been busy. I also tutor privately two hours each night and by the time I am done work for the day I want nothing more then a warm bath and a good non-school related book (I love fluff books for the sole purpose I don't have to think when I read them...oh and they are funny as heck in a predictable sort of way)!
Also, have injured my back recently and have been in a great deal of pain however I went to the doctor and he gave me some wonderful pills yesterday so today I feel like I am walking on clouds (I think this is a good thing but shoot these pills seem to be strong lol) Anyways a day might pop up this week when I have some time to enjoy my scrap room again and if I do I will make sure I take a picture and post it but until then happy crafting everyone!

Cleaning the closet!
Hello Crafters,
I was cleaning the closet today and found something interesting...New Years Resolutions! We made these at the beginning of the year and my plan for them was to put them at the beginning of my 2010 scrapbook. I have always wanted to make a scrapbook that is just about life. I have scrapped most of my major trips ie. Cuba, Egypt, etc. and have made a couple for gifts ie. family books but have never scraped just a year of our life. I was sure this was the year and I even went so far as to make folders on the computer for pictures and started a drawer in my craft room for memorabilia but that is as far as it went. As we all say someday...
Now that I have unearthed these I think I might place them in some 12x12 frames that I have and hang them in our bedroom as a daily reminder (you know since it is more then half way through the year and I'll admit there is a couple on here that I have not accomplished even a little bit :( Than when I replace them with 2011 resolutions I will put them in the front of a scrapbook and maybe scrap my year a year behind. Who knows this might end up beginning a life long trend :)

P.S. this was Brian's first ever scrapbook page and he made me promise I would not tell the guys at work about it! lol He even used the cricut for the first time although I am not sure he enjoyed it as much as I do as he has never played with it since.

Paper Cutz Challenge
Hello Crafters,
I have made a card for the Paper Cutz Challenge blog. The challenge there was to make a card using 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 colours. I find the only 3 colours thing challenging and you might notice just a couple dots of another colour but I really needed my alien to have a little spunk!

Jitterbuggin' Challenge
Hello Crafters,
I was inspired this morning and did a bit of crafting. Here is a card I did based on the challenge from the Jitterbuggin' challenge website. The challenge was to follow a sketch (this was my first time trying this), to put something you love in the middle (I choose my favourite quote and a butterfly) The last part of the challenge was to use your two favourite colours. As you can see mine are purple and teal. I tried to make the middle disstressed a bit (can you tell I have never done this before either)?! But you know overall I actually like the messy look it produced!

Shopping Haul Photos!
I just love looking at ppl photos and videos of their hauls. So I thought I would show you all a couple of recent shopping hauls! They are on the small side as I am on a tight budget right now until school starts and subbing begins again for me but still I got some great deals! It is back to school shopping time and has anyone ever noticed how much everyday school supplies are used in scraping?! I went to three stores Dollarama, Walmart and Staples...you know your everyday stops :)
My best deals were the bling from Dollarama in photo one and the 24 packs of crayons in photo 2. They were only .80 cents at Staples! I bought the 64 packs at Walmart thinking I was getting a good deal at $3.00. I worked it out on my handy calculator when I got home and realized 24 @ .80 cents was much better. Oh well I'll have lots of pretty colours from the 64 packs! Just wait until you see what I make with these...super cute! Another great deal was the vinyl it was on clearance at Walmart for $5.00 which it is usually $10.00 here. Funny though only the blue was on clearance (is there something wrong with the blue)?
As for the lifetime supply of RSVP pens...I just discovered how to insert patterned paper into them to make them match some cute notebooks I have been making. (I'll show you these soon too)! I went to Staples first and had purchased the 12 pack for 10 something and when I went to Walmart and saw the 3 packs on for $1.97. I freaked out and bought a lot! I worked it out and I paid about.87 cents a piece for the 12 pack pens and only .66 cents for the 3 packs!
Oh those bubbles in the first picutre are not going to be used for scraping if you are wondering. They say they are touchable bubbles that won't break. I got them to use as prizes for the students I tutor but I have a feeling I may end up keeping those and testing them myself lol! And the Nibs in the second picture are my scraproom stash!
Doesn't looking at what other ppl buy just inspire you to want to shop! oh and craft lol
Happy Crafting!
